Help for first time listeners
Internet Radio, sometimes called streaming audio, is
one of the fastest growing Internet applications. The station is
sent in a continuous stream of data from our servers to your computer,
where you use a software audio player to decode the data and play
the audio on your speakers. AM and FM radio is severely constrained
by the number of frequencies available. The Internet has far
greater capacity, allowing us to "transmit" any number of stations
around the world.
Listening
to the stations on CMRadio.Net is simple. There are a few basic
technical requirements you will need, which you probably already
have.

It would
also be good to have your javascript turned on (it's on unless
you turned it off)
In addition,
you'll need software capable of playing streaming Internet audio.
CMRadio has been designed to work with almost all of the players
available. You can use Microsoft Windows Media Player or RealOne® from
RealNetworks® which you probably have installed on your system
already, or better yet a streaming radio player like Winamp.
For more information on players available for your system, click
here.
Installed
and ready to go?
Go to
our stations page and pick one of our stations. You will be asked
a few questions so that we can provide you the best "stream" for
your computer and Internet connection. The "Player" window will
open. If you are using RealPlayer the controls will be in the upper
right corner. If you are using a streaming radio player, the player
will launch and you can use the controls on the player.
Be patient,
the music will start playing in a few seconds after the player
appears. The player has to fill a "buffer" which helps it to "ride
out" any network congestion.
I'm Still Having Problems!
If things are still not working quite right, see if there is an
answer to your question or problem in the FAQ (Frequently
Asked Questions). If you can't figure it out, try the website of
the player you are using or email CMRadio.Net Support and
we'll try and help.
